Darron Antill
Chief Executive Officer
Darron has extensive experience in leading and growing IT companies that specialize in security & analytics software & services. Prior to his CEO role at Device Authority, Darron was CEO of AppSense, a global software company, where he was responsible for driving the global growth of the company by entering and expanding into new markets, while delivering new and innovative products that are helping companies transform their workspace management initiatives. During his tenure, Darron guided the company to a 270% increase in revenues to more than $100M, expanded the company globally, increased global headcount by more than 300% and helped AppSense raise a $70M investment round from Goldman Sachs. Additionally, Darron led the strategic acquisition of mobile player RAPsphere, a vital component to AppSense’s portfolio of workspace solutions.
Prior to AppSense, Darron was CEO of leading Information Security Services company Vistorm, which was acquired by EDS. Previous to this Darron Managing Director of Ultima Business Solutions, an IT & security services company, and a Sales Director at Digital Equipment Company.
James Penney
Chief Technology Officer
Originally a founding-member of Device Authority Ltd, (formerly known as Cryptosoft), James has over 13 years’ experience in both internal and external facing technical roles. James leads the technology strategy and is the technical leader of the business, working closely with the engineering team to improve and develop our IoT security software platform – KeyScaler. James also works closely with a number of key customers and strategic partners to ensure our products fulfil current market requirements, are easy to integrate and use, and meet the IoT security use cases for key industry verticals – IoMT, IIoT, Automotive and Smart Connected Products.
Prior to Cryptosoft, James was the lead technical consultant for a European software reseller responsible for designing and delivering PKI-based data security solutions for variety of customers, including SMBs, government agencies, and multinational corporations.
Tyler Gannon
Vice President, Product Marketing and Strategic Alliances
Tyler has more than 20 years’ experience in enterprise software and security focused on building product strategy and driving market growth. Over a 12-year career with Microsoft in a variety of roles he managed global strategic alliances, led business development teams, and enabled partners’ digital transformation as a technical evangelist. He’s also a tech founder, having built an identity-integration service for Public Sector customers which was acquired in 2016. Prior to joining Device Authority Tyler helped industry-leading organizations like Blackbaud and PTC drive SaaS revenue growth.
He has a BA in Political Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Technology from Babson College.
Peter Cumberland
VP Finance and Operations
Peter is a CIMA qualified accountant specialising in preparing and enabling businesses for further growth and has around 20 years experience within the software and technology industries. At Device Authority Peter is responsible for finance, HR, core commercial systems and facilities. Key areas of focus include robust financial planning, cash generation with keen cost management as well as business process simplification through the implementation of new business management systems.
Before joining Device Authority, Peter was Financial Controller at Fairsail Ltd, a UK-based SaaS business developing and providing an HR/People system on the Salesforce cloud platform. During his 4 years at Fairsail, Peter was responsible for all Financial systems, processes and reporting, and saw the business grow from 30 employees to 300, and Annual Recurring Revenues grow 8 times to almost £20m. Peter was also involved in the acquisition of Fairsail by Sage PLC in March 2017, where he managed the financial integration and ongoing growth of the business into other geographical regions.
Claire Tennant
Marketing Lead
Claire has more than 20 years’ experience in media and communications, with a particular specialism in technology and cybersecurity. Claire works alongside Louise to deliver Device Authority’s marketing activity, with a focus on content development, lead generation and partner engagement campaigns.
Ben Benson
VP Technical Operations
Ben Benson has 20 years’ experience in Software Engineering and architecture and a proven track record of architecting global SaaS platforms for both start-ups and large corporations. Working closely with PARC research teams, he has deployed Machine Learning and AI platforms for some of the largest telecommunication providers in the world, implementing cutting edge research to truly disrupt the traditional customer service industry.
He has designed and implemented a patented Intelligent Queue Management platform to prioritise both physical and digital customers based on a blend of business and customer metrics, again using machine learning technologies to revolutionise the way in which customer queuing data is utilised.
Ben has a passion and focus for designing robust, scalable, and innovative technical solutions, and realising the business value they yield.
Amy Chu
VP Customer Success
Amy Chu has over 20 years of technical leadership expertise, building high performing teams as master liaison among business and technical partners.
Amy carries extensive experience in automotive product delivery and execution, leading cross-functional teams from ideation to launch. Prior to Device Authority, Amy successfully led a teams of researchers and engineers to develop and deliver innovative solutions from abstract concepts, adapting to large-scale production based on customer needs.
Paul Lockley
VP Sales, EMEA
Paul is currently the VP of Sales EMEA at Device Authority leading both Partner /Alliance and customer engagement. He has over 25 years IT experience delivering value-based customer solutions, building GTM strategy and creating shared success. For the last 10 years Paul has focussed on building rapid growth start-up technologies and markets, working with companies such as Veeam and Device Authority. Prior to that he worked within the Enterprise solutions divisions for companies such as EMC and Computacenter focussed on the Global 500 sector.
David Bennett
VP Sales, North America
In 2001, David started as the first salesperson at eMation (later Axeda) and was a key contributor to growing that company to 130 customers by 2011 before it was acquired by PTC along with Thingworx. David also has spent time at Oracle, WindRiver, BSquare and Zededa, assisting with their building of IoT programs.
More recently David has been an advisor to InSkill which uses AI to capture knowledge and upskill workers.
Amit Rao
VP Sales, APAC
Amit Rao is VP at Device Authority and leads strategy, sales & business development activities within key accounts in the APAC & Japan geography, catering to Industrial, Automotive, Medical verticals. Accountability also includes fostering partnerships with leading cloud service providers, IoT platform vendors, Global system integrators, MNC (GICs), Consulting firms and semiconductor companies.
Amit is a technology enthusiast and evangelist with 20 years of diversified experience in semiconductor & hi-tech domains across business roles. In his previous avatar, Amit worked with ST Microelectronics & Texas Instruments, leading their business
expansion in India and South Asia, across diverse markets & segments – industrial, automotive, consumer, medical, defense & space.
Amit has been a technology enthusiast and believes that IoT security & privacy is the need of the hour. He has been evangelizing the cause for end-to-end security in the embedded & IoT domain.
Apart from his professional accountability, he also volunteers for the Department of Telecom – India, IET, IoT Security Foundation and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC27 WG4.
